No. Benefits and discounts established for bike rentals and the Self-Guided Bike Tour apply exclusively to those products and do not apply to the Maipu Wine Bike Experience.

Yes. Maipu Bikes works with different channels and companies that may offer or recommend our bikes and experiences.

When a reservation is made through an external company or platform, the price, booking conditions, payment methods, cancellation policies and available benefits may vary.

In all cases, the conditions provided by the channel used to make the reservation will apply.

Your rental includes a basic 26-inch mountain bike (MTB), helmet, printed and digital map of the Maipú Wine Route, mechanical assistance during the ride and personalized recommendations to help you organize your day.

Before you start, we’ll also recommend wineries, restaurants, safety tips and the best itinerary based on the time you have available. In addition, we’ll explain how to organize your day.

Bike rental is paid in person when you arrive at Maipu Bikes.

We accept cash in Argentine pesos, US dollars, euros and Chilean pesos. You can also pay by bank transfer, Mercado Pago, debit card or credit card. Please note that card payments include an additional processing fee.

However, payment methods at wineries and restaurants may vary depending on each establishment.

No. At Maipu Bikes, bicycles are rented for the entire day so you can explore the Maipú Wine Route without worrying about time.

The latest recommended departure time is 2:30 PM. This allows enough time to visit wineries and restaurants before they close.

If weather conditions are not suitable for a safe ride, you’ll be able to reschedule your reservation for another available date. In that case, contact us as soon as possible.

If it starts raining during your ride or weather conditions change unexpectedly, contact Maipu Bikes. Then, we’ll help you find the best solution.

If you need to change or cancel your booking, please contact Maipu Bikes as soon as possible and provide your booking number and the name of the person who made the booking.

The Maipu Bikes team will review your request and process the cancellation or modification as soon as possible. If we need any additional information, we will contact you.

Important: any modification or cancellation is subject to the conditions of the corresponding booking.

During your ride you can visit the wineries, restaurants and olive oil tasting venues included in the Maipu Bikes route. The current list includes Bodega Mevi, Bodega Tempus Alba, Bodega Viña El Cerno, Bodega Trapiche, Bodega La Rural – Wine Museum, Bodega Alandes, Bodega Domiciano, Entre Olivos, Casa de Campo Restaurant and La Melesca.

The number of places you visit will depend on the time you spend at each stop and the pace you choose for your day. Therefore, you can adapt the experience to the time you have available.

No. You don’t need to decide in advance which wineries or establishments you want to visit. The Maipu Bikes experience is self-guided and, before you start your ride, our team will help you organize the best itinerary based on your interests, the time you have available and the wineries you’d like to visit.

We’ll provide you with a map of the route, explain the different options and recommend the most convenient itinerary so you can make the most of your day. Keep in mind that some wineries require advance reservations while others can be visited without a reservation.

For winery visits and tastings, Mevi, Viña El Cerno, Tempus Alba, Entre Olivos, La Melesca and Domiciano do not require a reservation in advance. Domiciano has specific opening hours for cyclists, so keep its schedule in mind when planning your route.

Trapiche, Alandes and La Rural require advance reservations for winery visits or tastings.

Maipu Bikes does not make reservations for wineries, restaurants or tastings. When a reservation is required, you should arrange it directly with the establishment.

No. The bike rental does not include wine tastings, olive oil tastings, lunches or winery visits.

Each winery, restaurant or olive oil tasting venue offers its own experiences. These are booked and paid directly at each establishment.

The ride usually takes between 4 and 8 hours, depending on how many wineries and restaurants you decide to visit.

For example, if you visit one or two places, around 4 hours is usually enough. If you’d like to enjoy tastings, have lunch and visit several wineries, most visitors spend the entire day.

Since this is a self-guided experience, you can explore the route at your own pace. There is no mandatory schedule. However, the latest recommended departure time is 2:30 PM, and if you’d like to finish your ride and enjoy the Happy Hour, it normally takes place between 4:30 PM and 6:00 PM.

The complete route is approximately 12 to 16 kilometers (7.5 to 10 miles), depending on the wineries, restaurants and olive oil tasting venues you choose to visit.

It’s a mostly flat route, making it ideal for a relaxed bike ride through the Maipú Wine Route.

No. The Maipu Bikes experience must be completed within the route provided by Maipu Bikes.

We provide the map, recommendations and mechanical assistance for the route included in the experience. You should not deviate from the route or follow alternative routes using Google Maps, GPS or other external directions.

At Maipu Bikes we offer basic 26-inch mountain bikes (MTB), ideal for comfortably exploring the Maipú Wine Route.

Every bicycle is carefully inspected before each rental. This helps us prepare the bike for a safe and enjoyable experience.

Yes. You must know how to ride a bicycle confidently to complete the route safely, as you’ll be riding on bike lanes and public streets shared with other vehicles.

If you have little cycling experience or don’t feel comfortable riding a bike, we recommend choosing another way to explore the Maipú Wine Route. Safety should come first.

No. We currently offer only basic 26-inch mountain bikes (MTB).

We do not have electric bikes, children’s bicycles, child seats, tandem bikes or double bikes.

Always follow traffic regulations, wear your helmet throughout the ride and cycle carefully.

Although most of the route follows dedicated bike lanes, it’s important to stay alert. In addition, respect traffic and follow all safety recommendations.

If you experience a mechanical problem during your ride, contact the mechanical assistance phone number shown on the map you’ll receive before starting your route.

Mechanical assistance is available throughout the official Maipu Bikes route. Therefore, if a problem occurs, contact us using the number on your map.

Yes. Mechanical assistance is available throughout the official Maipu Bikes route.

If you need help, simply call the assistance number printed on your map and we’ll assist you according to your location.

No. Maipu Bikes provides mechanical assistance for bicycles, but we do not offer comprehensive medical assistance.

We do have access to a primary emergency response service for initial assistance. However, every visitor is responsible for having their own travel or medical insurance.

In the event of a medical emergency, please contact the local emergency services immediately.

You can reach Maipu Bikes by taxi, Uber, Cabify, public bus, Metrotranvía + bus or private car.

The fastest option is usually taxi, Uber or Cabify, taking approximately 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic. Public buses are the best-value option, with express services such as 816, 817 and 920 usually taking around 25 to 30 minutes.

You can also combine the Metrotranvía with Bus 812, or come by private car.

Our opening hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The latest recommended departure time is 2:30 PM, giving you enough time to comfortably enjoy the wineries before they close.

During the high season we’re generally open Monday through Saturday. In the low season, we usually open on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Sundays are closed.

We also close on January 1, May 1 and December 25.

Yes. Free public parking is available on the street directly in front of Maipu Bikes.

You can also park in the commercial area located across the street from our shop. This gives you another nearby option.

No. You don’t need an internet connection to follow the route. Before you leave, you’ll receive a map and the information you need to organize your ride.

You can enjoy the experience without relying on Google Maps or GPS to follow the route.

Yes. If you’re traveling with backpacks or suitcases, you can leave them safely at Maipu Bikes while you enjoy your bike ride.

This complimentary service allows you to explore the wineries more comfortably throughout the day. Therefore, you can enjoy the route without carrying your luggage.

We do not recommend the bike ride during pregnancy for safety reasons. The experience involves several hours of physical activity and is done on basic 26-inch mountain bikes. Every pregnancy is different, so any physical activity during pregnancy should be evaluated by each person’s doctor.

We do not recommend doing the bike route with pets. Our rental fleet currently consists of basic 26-inch mountain bikes and we do not offer pet trailers or other pet transport equipment.

We do not recommend the bike experience for people with reduced mobility. Although access to our shop is accessible, the bike route is not adapted and we currently offer only basic 26-inch mountain bikes.

No. At Maipu Bikes we offer a self-guided experience. Before you begin, you’ll receive a printed map, personalized recommendations and everything you need to explore the Maipú Wine Route at your own pace.

No. All bicycles must be returned to Maipu Bikes, where the experience begins and ends.

Yes. Many travelers enjoy the route on their own. The experience is designed to be enjoyed solo, as a couple, with friends or with family.

Yes. When you return to Maipu Bikes and return your bike, you’re invited to enjoy complimentary Malbec wine during our traditional Happy Hour.

The Happy Hour normally takes place between 4:30 PM and 6:00 PM, within our opening hours.
