Bodega Alandes Maipu: Karim Mussi Wines and a Boutique Experience
Bodega Alandes Maipu: Karim Mussi Wines and a Boutique Experience
The Maipu Wine Route includes wineries of different sizes and styles. Bodega Alandes, also known as La Cava de Karim Mussi, offers a boutique-scale experience focused on the wines of winemaker Karim Mussi, in a historic setting in Coquimbito.

What is Bodega Alandes?
Bodega Alandes is a project connected to winemaker Karim Mussi Saffie and forms part of his portfolio of wines. The tasting room operates in an adobe house built in 1904, in the historic area of Maipu.
The tasting room opened its doors in 2013. Since then, it has welcomed visitors interested in discovering Karim Mussi’s different projects and labels in an intimate and personalized setting.
The name Alandes refers to the expression Along the Andes. In addition, the project works with grapes from different regions along the Andes mountain range, exploring different territories and wine styles.
The Alandes Wine Portfolio
One of the defining features of Alandes is its work with grapes from different wine-growing regions. As a result, its proposal goes beyond the expression of a single vineyard or region.
The current Alandes portfolio includes different interpretations of Malbec, as well as wines such as Cabernet Franc, Paradoux and Concrete Tank. These labels are made with grapes from different areas of Mendoza and other wine regions.
Therefore, this diversity makes it possible to discover different expressions of Argentine wine and see how the origin of the grapes influences the style of each label.

What is the wine tasting experience like?
The visit includes different tasting options, which may vary depending on the experience available. The winery explains that visits allow guests to discover its different wine brands and access a selection of special labels.
In addition, the proposal offers an opportunity to learn about the wines and Karim Mussi’s different projects. The experience may include explanations about the labels, the project and different areas of the winery.
However, the specific experience and selection of wines available depend on the reservation.

El Capricho at Bodega Alandes
Bodega Alandes also has a gastronomic proposal connected to El Capricho, a restaurant located at the same property.
The restaurant combines gastronomy with Karim Mussi wines. During 2026, El Capricho continues to appear associated with Bodega Alandes, offering contemporary cuisine connected with the flavors of Mendoza and a multi-course menu.
As the gastronomic proposal may change, it is best to check directly with El Capricho if your main interest is lunch or a gastronomic experience.
