Tempus Alba Winery: Wine, Family Heritage & Self-Guided Visits
Tempus Alba Winery: Wine, Family Heritage & Self-Guided Visits
In Coquimbito, along the Maipu Wine Route, you’ll find a winery where wine is only part of the experience. Tempus Alba brings together family heritage, vineyards, olive groves, wine tastings and different food options.
Tempus Alba winery in Maipu can also be explored through a free self-guided tour. This allows visitors to discover part of the winery independently and combine the visit with other experiences available on site.

A Family-Owned Winery with Five Generations of History
Tempus Alba belongs to the Biondolillo family, whose connection to winemaking and viticulture spans five generations.
The winery is located at Carril Perito Moreno 572, Coquimbito, Maipu, Mendoza. The surrounding area is home to vineyards, wineries and other establishments along the Maipu Wine Route.
Its wines include varieties such as Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Tempranillo, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Rosé de Malbec.
The family’s work also extends into viticultural research. In addition to its winemaking activities, Tempus Alba has its own laboratory for the in-vitro micropropagation of Malbec mother plants, connected to the Círculo V.E.RO. project.
A Visit You Can Explore on Your Own
One of the winery’s distinctive experiences is its free self-guided tour.
Informative signs introduce different areas of the winery, as well as the vineyards and olive grove. Rather than following a guide, visitors explore the site independently and can move through the experience at their own pace.
The self-guided tour takes approximately 20 to 25 minutes. No advance booking is required.

Wines, Tastings and the Wine Bar
The visit can be complemented with different wine-focused experiences.
Tempus Alba offers wine tastings and also has a Wine Bar with terrace service. From there, visitors can enjoy views of the vineyards and the surrounding landscape.
For those looking for a more structured experience, there is also a guided visit with a tasting of three wines. This is a separate option from the self-guided tour.
Wine tastings and guided visits have different conditions and prices. Therefore, if you are looking for a specific experience, check the details in advance.

Food Truck and Patio Tempus: Two Different Dining Options
Food is another important part of the Tempus Alba experience. The winery offers two different options, each with its own format.
Tempus Food Truck
The Food Truck offers a more casual dining option within the winery and vineyard setting.
It operates Monday to Saturday, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. No advance booking is required, although service is subject to availability.
As part of the Maipu Wine Bike Experience, Maipu Bikes customers receive a 15% discount at the Food Truck. Food and drinks are not included in the experience price.

Patio Tempus
Patio Tempus is the winery’s restaurant-style dining option. Unlike the Food Truck, it requires an advance reservation and operates Monday to Saturday, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
If you want to eat at Tempus Alba, the distinction is simple: the Food Truck operates without advance booking and is subject to availability, while Patio Tempus requires a reservation.
Tempus Alba as Part of a Cycling Route
Tempus Alba is approximately 5 kilometres from Maipu Bikes. The journey takes around 20 minutes by bicycle.
The route runs mainly along Perito Moreno. As with other sections of the Maipu Wine Route, it uses public roads where traffic is present.
In addition, Tempus Alba is close to other stops in the southern section of the route, including Viña El Cerno and Mevi. This makes it possible to combine different experiences during the same day.

Do You Need a Reservation?
It depends on which experience you want to enjoy.
In short, the self-guided tour and the Food Truck do not require advance booking. Patio Tempus and guided visits require prior arrangements.
How Much Time Can You Spend There?
The self-guided tour is relatively short. A wine tasting or a meal, however, naturally makes the visit longer.
If you are planning a day of cycling, the time you spend at Tempus Alba will depend on what you choose to do. You can visit for the self-guided tour, add a tasting or stop for a meal.
